A lifelong Western Massachusetts resident, Aaron has built his career in public service around a simple principle: government works best when it listens to the people and communities it serves. In the Legislature, Aaron has focused on strengthening Western Massachusetts communities and ensuring that the region receives its fair share of state attention and investment. His work has included making Massachusetts an affordable place for families to live and work; supporting agriculture and the Commonwealth’s working farms; protecting access to libraries and books; improving access to lifesaving medications; addressing the needs of Quabbin watershed communities; investing in our local public schools; and advocating for responsible stewardship of public lands and natural resources. Aaron has also made regional equity a central part of his work. He has advocated for greater recognition of the contributions made by communities that host the Quabbin Reservoir and other critical state infrastructure, including fairer payments to host communities, improved local access to water resources, and expanded recreational opportunities. He has worked to strengthen accountability and regional representation in major public infrastructure systems and to ensure that ratepayers and municipalities have a meaningful voice in decisions that affect them. As a legislator representing a geographically large and diverse district, Aaron places a particular emphasis on constituent service and maintaining a strong presence in the communities he represents. From helping residents navigate state agencies to working with municipal officials on infrastructure, economic development, education, environmental protection, and local funding, he views representing the district as both a legislative and hands-on problem-solving role. Aaron currently serves as Acting Chair of the Legislature’s Joint Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries, where his work includes supporting Massachusetts farmers and food producers, protecting working lands, strengthening the local food system, and addressing the economic and regulatory challenges facing agriculture across the Commonwealth. Aaron lives in Western Massachusetts with his family. He and his wife are raising three children, and his experience as a parent, former local official, and longtime resident of the region informs his approach to public service.
